Looks as naturally and casual as any underlay for the actual work – but it is 269 x 194 cm!
I was always facinated by the delicacy of used palettes – mostly there colors appear more delicate than on the canvas.
This "Outside In" fullfills this apparently incidental appearance with all it´s cryptically traces. And it has anything a picture needs. A picture of making a picture.

You're right, the colouring is delicate.
But putting a rectangle into a rectangle isn't exactly the most exciting design, composition-wise...
Too dull, too static for my taste.
