Maybe I'm way off Felix, but with all of your inventive manipulation of the photographic process, I get the feeling that you want to paint...

Heather: No, you're not way off, not at all... i realized very early that i can't paint at all and discovered photography as an adequate substitute. But that was long before i started this manipulation process, this started only 1/2 year ago. All i needed, was a way to transform the world into my way of seeing it, keeping it there, always readily available. To me, the instant matters a lot. That's why i work with polaroid only, sharing the moment as i feel it, no retouching, no further development - it's simply there. The moment captured in another.
It was not until a year ago or so, that i actually thought about making these views, dreams and statements accessible to others, as sometimes it's a really personal matter. But ever since i did so, my work has developed a lot and i find even more fulfillment in my photographic expression. And by the way, even though i adore painting a lot, maybe now more than ever, i would not trade what i do now for painting - it's not ALL about the materials, one should be glad if he finds a way to express himself.

So beautiful. I don't mean that to be a trite comment. I mean that the colors, the composition, the light, the lushness, the emotion, the detail and the blurred parts--it all comes together and makes magic. I read your words above and this work does feel intimate--and yet we are looking at something as large as the sky (I presume) accessible to all.
Those of us who have found our way to making art are so fortunate. Those of us who have found our way to making it consistently, and to share it, and to have viewers who truly see it, we are living life.
All the best and look forward to seeing more and more and more....
