floating form and content. You make abstraction look so real - if this is possible. Love it!

Felix Adelmann (felix)

that's exactly the idea... finding the equilibrium between abstraction and concrete...sounds familiar, Mr. Hein? Happy you like it!!

jimmie james (jimmie_james)

nice.
at first, I didnt read the name of the piece ,which obviously is what is written, and was intrigued by the not knowing of what it said and how it pulled at me to decifer its meaning...I wonder if it would be interesting to play your title of the work to reflect or contrast or nuance the content not necessarily describe it,
just my 2 cents....(which I hear isnt worth much in europe anyway)
best,

Yes, nice.
In the same mood as 'I'm down on my knees' it is...
Probably of the same session?

@jimmie: Well wellwell.....you really made me think. i am totally aware of what you're saying.. Sometimes after finishing a work like this, i put it away for a couple of days before i look a it again..and then i try to figure out what the heck i wrote - that makes me crazy and draws me into the work at the same time. BUT: The letters are, as you wrote in another comment, a layer between the image and the viewer. It's another dimension of meaning, completing or expanding the story which is being told. So i find it important, that you understand the words right away, to get the message (well, it's very cryptic sometimes anyway..) - But if you look at my 'sky' series (www.artdoxa.com/mydoxa/artworks/1041) you will find no explanation about the written words, and that's the way it's supposed to be. It all depends.... anyway, thanks for your comment and don't worry about the dollar rate, on ARTDOXA we have our own currency.
