GOLDEN AT THE BREAK OF DAWN
2013
120 (h) x 100 (w) x 2 cm
acrylic and oil on canvas
It will never be the same
At the break of dawn
Heart over mind
Golden sun on your face
And you were a fortress
At the break of dawn
In the cold light of day
Good bye fairy tale
Seagulls before a storm
Sing your heart away
In the cold light of day
It will never be the same

WIE MAG ER DICH JETZT NENNEN, HENRIETTE VOGEL?/
HOW DOES HE LIKE TO CALL YOU NOW, HENRIETTE VOGEL?...
about the title and the very romantic story behind... HENRIETTE VOGEL (1780 - 1811)
Female friend and probably also girlfriend and muse of the German poet, dramatist and romanticist Heinrich von Kleist (1777 - 1811). They committed suicid together at the waterside of the Wannsee (lake nearby Berlin).
has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
