Totem Pole of the Heroes

I created this monument to honor the lives of Sgt. Richard “Sam” Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter who were murdered on the line of duty on 2017 in Kissimmee, Florida. The creation of this totem pole is based on eight pyramids that symbolize hope, transcending and the continuity of life, but at one point their lives were cut off before their time. The blue stripe on the top represents a cross. The white color represents spirituality, the dark blue represents the Kissimmee Police Department, and the two doves symbolize Sgt. Richard (Sam) Howard and Officer Matthew Baxter.

top Raft Escape

This art work is inspired by the night trips through the Mona Chanel between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. In this etching you can see elements and everyday objects of the Caribbean, such as machetes and automobile tubes. This etching reflects the preparation of a trip in progress to cross the Mona channel at night.
