Reading Edith Stein's biography in 2007 inspired me beyond words...her compassionate faith. Pope John II selected her along with St Frances as a saint of Europe....her sacrificing her life for another while emprisoned in Auschwitz speaks volumes of what she was about...the strength of this picture is one of my favorite works!
