I registered, but I can’t find myself in the „Artist“ area. Why?

In order to become visible in the Artists area, you have to upload at least one picture.

How can I upload pictures?

After login, go to the MyDoxa area. Click the „Upload Art“ button. There are two possibilities now, depending on whether you have installed the Flash-plugin Version X.X or higher.

If you have installed the flash player: Click on the ‘Select files’ button. A window will appear with which you can browse your computer and select the all the files you wish to upload. You don’t have to upload each file individually – save some time and mark as many pictures as you wish to upload. Then confirm your selection and check all the files in the upload window again. If you are ready to upload, click on the ‘Upload’ button. A Status bar will inform you about the progress of the upload. Once the upload has finished (depending on the size and the amount of your material, this may take a while!) you’ll find yourself in the Upload Box. Here you can add all the relevant information to your pictures.

If you haven’t got Flash: You can either download the Plugin for Free at Adobe or use our old-school tool (it’s great, too…!) which will automatically show up as soon as your browser hasn’t detected the required Flash plugin: Now Choose between 1 and 10 pictures (if you want to upload even more at a time, just click the „upload another picture“ button – repeat as desired) and click „Save“. Once the upload has finished (depending on the size and the amount of your material, this may take a while!) you’ll find yourself in the Upload Box. Here you can add all the relevant information to your pictures.

Can I assign the same information to more than one picture at a time?

After uploading your pictures, you can edit them in the Upload Box before publishing the pictures. Here you can add redundant information by simply entering the information in one field and then click on „for all“. This actually saves a lot of time!

How many pictures can I upload?

Don’t worry about that, you can upload as many pictures as you want.

What are the criteria by which I can sort/ filter artists?

Most favourite – This is being derived by the accumulated number of people who added an artwork as a favourite.

Most commented – Discussion is important, especially with art issues. Here you can locate the artists and artworks that got the most feedback.

What’s the story of the little preview pictures in the artist list?

These tiny preview pictures are thumbnails of catalogues compiled by the artist. The first picture always leads to the artist’s portfolio; the following ones will lead to catalogues.
