A series taken on different coasts in Europe and oversee in the night. By illuminating with artificial light I use the scenery like a stage in a theater, giving an impression of the special surface and body of the rocks. It seems, that they are no dead things. Stones and water forms are a timeless expression.

Night portraits
Can a portrait tell us something about the character, nature and personality of someone or is it only scanning the surface?
According to these questions I started to experiment with unusual light technik and long exposure times. The results are often, in opposite what we expect from a portrait, diffuse, refuse the concrete reception, but can give room for thoughts and associations.
