En la esfinge se puede apreciar que el cuerpo animal se revela (la cola con cabeza de serpiente-dragón), no quiere estar sometido, dominado por la cabeza humana, es la inteligencia (el arco y flecha) controlando la materia. Rodeado de un entrelazado floral que contrasta con la “gran lucha” del ser humano entre espíritu y materia.
