I like the absence of affectation in concrete. Concrete is not cold and aloof. I like the textual feel of concrete, which looks like tofu broken up into pieces by chopsticks. A broken concrete wall by its very existence serves as inspiration. A breath of fresh air because of the possibility of it becoming something more than it is now.

Zuerst die Flüchtigkeit, dann die Berührung.
Die Grenzen der emotionalen Berührung und den mitschwingenden narrativer Aspekt.
Mich begleitet stets die Frage, wie hoch ist der Grad der grafischen Arbeit und welchen Anteil erhält die Malerei, bzw. wann kippt es?
Schafft es die Arbeit den flüchtigen Blick zu überwinden und den Betrachter einen Atemzug länger in den Bann zu ziehen.

The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
