About me
Aine Scannell (ainescannell)
I am now living in Dunfermline, which is just outside of Edinburgh, Scotland. I used to live in London for ages but I am originally from Cork in southern Ireland.
I initially trained to Masters level in painting (that was in Barcelona) though ultimately I found my chosen or appropriate medium to be that of printmaking. Painting just was not right for me.
Thereafter, I undertook studies in printmaking at colleges in London finishing with a post graduate course at Wimbledon College (Univ. of the Arts, London) That was round about 2000.
I have participated in a wide range of international projects, biennials and portfolio exchanges.
I like to use mainly intaglio techniques and over the past few years, I have been researching and developing work that combines traditional printmaking techniques with inkjet.

Many exhibitions
I will add this information eventually...........
has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
