About me
Amelia Taeed (ameliataeed)
Amelia's work appeals to our ability to transform our thoughts and feelings, and by way of imagination, ultimately, our consciousness. We find peace and harmony within us when we transcend our self-centered, egocentric thinking where our surrounding culture captivates us.
Amelia considers her artistic expressions as transient forms in which an emotion or a spiritual consciousness is expressed. When viewed in this way, art forms only a material product, not the underlying essence that she wants to transfer. This vision is consistent with an important theme in the art of Amelia: de-materialization of our thinking and our communication.
De-materialization is a prerequisite for inner liberation. Then we can enter into compounds. From human to human, but also from form to form. This can be viewed in the transformation of physical metal rings to digital images, from images to animation and then animation to a graphic motif that recurs in physical print. In this cyclical process the constant element is the evolving transformations.
