The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
I am fascinated with the huge Daturas that blossom in my summer backyard garden. They emerge in moonlight and wilt neatly in the morning like a woman's formal evening gloves.
I discovered her this summer past in an old wheelbarrow so tiny and nearly imperceivable except to the most keenest of observers. I watched her all summer; I watched her hatch her eggs giving life to her offspring. One morning, as Autumn approached, I found her web empty. She never returned. I made this image so the world would know she lived and that she was beautiful.
