Sylvia Barrero (bysylviabarrero)
There is beauty everywhere, even in the most chaotic corners of this planet. We rush through life without noticing it, and all we have to do is change our focus. My work wants to show the miracle of every daily routine, every person we come across, every place we visit and everything we see. My inspiration is the infinite color and beauty in this world.
- Biography
Born in Bogota, Colombia. Since childhood, her aptitude for and interest in the arts becomes evident. She initiates her journey into this realm through handicrafts, by learning sewing, painting and woodworking. As a teenager she shifts her focus to sculpture, painting and other uses of techniques and materials, delving deep into a permanent and inexhaustible experimentation in these areas.
In 2008 she receives her degree as an Industrial Designer with a minor in Textile Design, but continues to express herself through art.
In 2012 she changes her painting style to a more colorful and expressive one, she wants to show how she sees the world.
In 2014 her son Santiago is born, he becomes her infinite inspiration.- Exhibitions
