“Letter Bomb”, 2006

Gleich dem Kampf zwischen divergenten Ideologien und ihrer Propagandamethodiken in Wort und Bild wird hier die Quasi-Umkehrung der Beuys’schen “Aktion Friedenshase” vollzogen.
Drucklettern aus Blei werden auf einem Camping-Grill und mit einem Bunsenbrenner eingeschmolzen und in eine selbstgebaute Form gegossen.
Die gesamte Aktion wurde von Philipp Haffner zeichnerisch dokumentiert und mitgefilmt.
Im Galerieraum wurden die fertige Bombe, das verwendete Equipement, Zeichnungen und Video gleich den im Internet leicht zu recherchierenden Bombenbauanleitungen aufgebaut.
Untermauert wurde dieses Setting mit Schillers umgedichtetem “Lied von der Glocke” in “das Lied von der Bombe”.

Installation mit 8000 Büchern und Computerkomponente auf 35 m2
Diplomausstellung in den Bildhauerateliers der Kunstakademie Wien.

Installation zur Entsprechung der eigenen Überforderung von der stetig wachsenden Menge an neuen Informationen durch den medial explodierenden Informationsfluss und der parallelen Unmöglichkeit einer derart fragmentierten Kommunikation dieser Daten in streng pragmatisch- linguistischer Hinsicht.
8000 im Raum aufgereihte Bücher bilden ein Basisfragment, ein begrenztes Archiv aus einem unendlichen Ganzen auf dem ich mich bewege und aus jenem ich selektiere um meinen persönlichen Blickwinkel, eine Achtelkugel aus zerschredderten Büchern unter der Decke mit Anmutung eines Schwalbennestes, auszumachen.
Unterstrichen wird dieses Setting von zwei Computerstimmen, welche aus Wickipedia und dem Guttenberg-Onlinebookarchiv durch Schrifterkennungs- bzw. Sprachprogramme miteinander kommunizieren

Orrinthaller ( & the apnea of speech)

Orrinthaller is a conceptual installation initiated by the collaborative work of three artists. Through their open processes of art making; Kyle Zsombor, Jorden & David Doody allow happenstance to regurgitate cultural intuition in an act of artistic survival.

Kyle ,Jorden & David are all recent graduates from the UBC-O Fine Arts Department. Although each artist offers a uniquely individual approach to the discourse of visual arts, they share a common focus on the materialism of cultural codification. Their combined individual practices have been heavily influenced by world travel and the cross pollination of mass media, ritual and fetishistic cultures.
