The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
This is a piece from a project entitled "The Morning Picture Project" which was shown in a solo exhibition entitled, "I am a Terrible Morning Person."
This particular piece is close to my heart, as the faces are of my mother who was kind enough to photograph herself waking up in the morning for a month. It is an homage to her as I have fond memories of her loving to open the mail each day, even the junk mail, which is what these trash bags have been filled up with.

Unique moments come across on everybodys path of life and it is my
understanding of photography to perceive and capture them and so did I.
In the photo series „homeland“ predominantly a single-use camera long
past its sell-by-date and digital black and white photography had been
used to capture ageless impressions. Aligned with feelings of freedom
and equilibrium I faced my native country, feeling an enormous bond
during the emotional realisation of parting, which caused pleasurable
sentiments of arrival.
