Gerrit Groteloh (gergro)
Gerrit Groteloh's series „Run's Poetry“ are abstract images made from nylon stockings. Compositions that do not refer to something seen; rather, they are developed out of the logic of the layers of fabric. The tension and dramatic quality contained in these images is built out of the shimmering fore- and backgrounds, positive and negative forms, light and shade. These surfaces seem complex and three-dimensional; they change with the point of view and even imply movement.
