James Brouwer (jimbrouwer)
As a Artist and Technician and have over 15 years experience working with Sound, Video and IT where my focus is on Time based digital media.
I Have worked on over 23 Installs of Exhibitions and Private View Events at Nottingham Contemporary such as British Art Show 7, Klaus Weber, Wael Shawky, Jack Goldstein, John Newling and Steve McQueen. and has work closely with many of the artist, including Turner Prize Winner Mark Leckey Turner Prize nominated Artist Marvin Gaye Chetwynd, Jane and Louise Wilson, Mika Rottenberg and Geoffrey Farmer to name but a few.

BA(Hons) 2000 Fine Art 1st Class, University of Lincolnshire and Humberside
I currently work for Nottingham Contemporary as the AV and IT Technician.
I participate with Curators and Artist to plan and implement requirements of exhibitions installations and de-installations of AV Art works to the highest level. Utilising excellent communication skills I developed and maintained successful working relationships with both internal and external staff.I work in collaboration with others to plan and deliver the technical elements of the events schedule. Managing event staff and facilities for private hires, public programmes, music programmes, Performances and corporate events. I also manage the documentation and delivery of Live events.

The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
