The source of this image is a series of books and notebooks that I'm making from paintings on paper.
I am fascinated by the idea of the chimera--the fusion of two seemingly unrelated objects or creatures. All the pieces I have made involving animal parts come from animals I found already dead. (Fun fact: this is the first piece I made after graduating art school.)
