Kimberley Campisano (kcamp7)
Intermedia Artist working in photography, drawing, painting, time-based media, and installation. I received my MFA from John F Kennedy University and work as an Art Integration Specialist in San Francisco schools.
- Biography
I am a San Francisco Bay Area artist and educator who works with images, objects, time-based media and installation.
I earned my BFA at Arizona State University, with an emphasis in Photography, and my MFA through John F. Kennedy University's Arts and Consciousness program.
My work is concerned with relationships - in time and in scale. Photographic stills, stop-motion animation, oral vocalizations and historical references parallel connections between the microcosmic and macrocosmic realms. I enlarge elements that mirror higher systems, whether biological, social or cosmic. I examine small units of information, holding them up and combining them in order to witness the infinity in them. I am equally interested in the gaps formed between these moments or elements.
Whether in public exhibitions, publications, school classrooms & systems, colleges or community projects, my aim is to form a dialogue that might bridge light and dark, matter and spirit, time and space, art and science, self and other.- Exhibitions
