This body of work, entitled “Found Space” was photographed over the course of a year, throughout the different boroughs of New York. It examines the shared spaces that exist between individuals and their larger community. As members of this community, we create relationships to the spaces within it through the people we encounter. As a result certain spaces become overlooked due to the lack of human presence within them. By introducing the figure to these spaces, I look to reactivate them.
has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
