Paul Tebo was born in Rhode Island and since 1984, has lived in Arizona, where he earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Drawing from the University of Arizona. His current work expresses the vulnerability of those who serve in the military and links to the artist's lifelong passion for United States history. The work reflects the war without while it deals with the war within.
Often described as enigmatic, Mr. Tebo's work uses both Renaissance and neoclassical drawing traditions. Rather than incorporate contemporary technology, he continues to employ the technical vocabulary of the Old Masters and painstaking exactness to render form on paper or board.
Paul Tebo's works on paper and mixed media "empathic portraits" have been exhibited in several galleries in both Rhode Island and Arizona and are in private collections.
