World history is told in broad strokes and from a perspective with little 'human interest '. Thus WWII is the (last) war in which the Heroes thrashed the Demons to general applause. The instigators of Evil received their just reward and the Big Three now rest in peace and honour. End of story from a historical point of view.
Not so for the common people, to whichever camp they belonged. The persons portrayed in 'Framed by History ' figured in ZDF documentaries on 'Hitler’s Accomplices '. Their contribution was restricted to a few sentences to add some colour to the historical film material – eye witnesses edited out of the final montage.
Their faces clearly showed that WWII was not a closed chapter for them. As soon as they recounted the events which marked their lives at an early stage, their eyes strayed and they became detached from their surroundings. Reliving images invisible to the viewer, each testimony ended in silence, alone.
Imprisoned in time by presence.

has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
