About me
Stacy Crane (scrane)
Artist Statement (2009)
The basis of my art practice and creative process explores the natural landscape in relation to urbanization and the layering of environmental spaces. I seek to articulate the material world through both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. Within that framework I research symbolic meaning through the iconography of forms, personal histories and explored spaces.
The imagery of my work references ritualistic practice as process in the creation of sculptural forms, which are symbolic of self-explored natural landscapes. I look to my exploration in these spaces to transform my emotional and physical experiences into visual language. Through the act of creation a history of mark-making is developed, representative of physical space and the spirituality that is present in both art and the natural world.

has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.

I feel the feelings, the movement and the strong statement in your colours of the landscapes...
