- Biography
ShenJu Chang was born and raised in Taiwan. Her love towards art began at a young age. As a child in the “Gifted and Talented Art Program” she won several prizes including the National Arts Awards in Drawing, Interior Design, and Poster Design. After graduating with her undergraduate degree at the Taipei Municipal University of Education in 2004, she taught Art and Mathematics. During that time, she studied the applications of fine art in mass media, and it deepened her interests in fine art.
In 2010, she graduated from Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a MFA, where she started her career as a professional artist. Later in 2012, she opened her own studio “Shenju’Studio” in Taipei to continue persuading her passion. She paints in a variety of styles and media, including still life, figurative, city scenes and landscape. Since 2010, she moved further into abstract, experimenting lines and colors to explore her deeper emotions. Her most recent work is a set of bird paintings, which flourished from her love to nature.
Today, Shenju’s work has a wild range of styles, from figurative to abstract. She brings both creative and elegant feel to her paintings through a unique balance of color, composition and texture. Her works was exhibited in several galleries in Taipei, Kaohsiung, Tainan and San Francisco.

has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
