"R. Slavenas, a faithful representative of Lithuanian expressionism, who is no way inferior to its coryphaeus with regard to his competence, pays the biggest attention to the color plastics and rhythm of compositions. In such a way he tries to express the "musical" chords of the soul that become the stream of material vibrations. The things that would have terrified classicist in the 18th century are respected at present. The most important thing is not to perceive an open or ciphered plot of existence (which usually does not exist); it is to enjoy the abstract consonances of changing flow. Despite the rough forms of spontaneous expression that show the inner temperament of the artist, the combinations of colors are quite subtle actually. The author rejects the direct representation of reality, however maintains the implications and allusions. In his works he tends to express the spiritual experience by obscure symbols that often cannot be concretely expressed in words. The artist does not deny material world, he simply transforms it into peculiar mirage, where all the elements have the same role - to create such a configuration of forms that would satisfy the constantly changing needs of inner subject. This inner subject is insatiable: he needs more and more new and unexpected combinations, the contemplation of which would allow him to feel a real director of the Universe, who creates alive mosaic of esthetic components."

has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.

I like the energy and interesting surface in your paintings. Someday they'll figure out how to match the texture and surface of an object on a computer screen.
Thanks for the favorites.
