In this three-dimensional work I try to express my perception of space and the three-dimensional in general. Drawing and creating small architectonic models are often the starting point of a larger search.
With ‘White, three-dimensional on socle’ I’ve tried to combine the specific qualities of the three-dimensional presence of an object with the imaginary depth of a drawing.
In applying different layers of form and thickness, the object gains presence and can confront its surrounding space without order.
The socle is the three-dimensional frame which leads the piece of art/object into the transcendental/real world.
