susanna viale (vialesusanna)
- Biography
The scholastic artistic formation of Susanna Viale begun in her infancy with Prof. Mattana who left his
mark on her creativity and the desire to experiment with new techniques. She further enhanced her artistic flair at an Art High School and the Academy of Fine Arts, Turin. Her highly developed technical experience is due to the stimulation and advise given by her master, Sergio Albano of the School in via Perrone she attended for 8 years.
Susanna Viale’s artistic life was mingled with nursing studies and university in Political Sciences and Sociology, where she acquired competences and cultures centralized on social and anthropological dynamics, as well as her interest in medicine and the study of chromotherapy and psychology.
Art is a mixture of technical abilities and pure creativity, all blended with daily, cultural and psychological experiences, that help to in the analysis of the phases lived by the artist. At first, in the '70s, until the end of the '80s, she experimented with the use of different kinds of materials, thus creating “pop art” pieces in acrylics (during her high school period). She then went on to build on her attracting for geometry from the '80s to 1993, painting hills and groups of small houses. As from 1994, on the wave of a period working on herself in an psycho-analytic experience and under the guidance of master Sergio Albano, her art turned to figurative expressionism and the use of Fauves colours. Indeed, her creative energy, that she had suppressed, or, at best only timidly expressed, thanks to her introspection, became an explosion of brilliant colours, contrasting and free strokes of brush where her vitality energy transpire from the canvas.
Her university formation and passion for travelling enhanced her attraction for social/anthropological fields, giving birth to works of art inspired by oriental religions, daily life and the suffering of the developing world.
Her search on the human body and passion for dance continued hand in hand with her art. The last few years have witnessed an intensification in her research on alchemic and esoteric subjects, along with the tarot cards and symbolism and the knife technique resulting in the creation of colourful, remarkably suggestive works of art bursting with expressive freedom.- Exhibitions

has been for sale for some time, as you have seen. The maintenance and ongoing development to keep our non-profit and idealistic platform for contemporary art running and safe from hackers etc. costs money that is no longer there. Because of small investments that are necessary now and the running costs, we will have to shut down with a heavy heart at the beginning of summer on June 21.
